World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Upgrades to items are an essential aspect of preparing your character. Upgrades boost damage to items and enchantments.
They also provide bonus effects and enhancements. The Blacksmith can sell them to you.
The upgrade button is available on any item. Every recycled item adds one level to the upgrade gauge.
Weapon
When the weapon is upgraded it is granted an initial damage bonus as well as a scaling factor that influences other stats. Certain upgrade components come with aesthetic effects while others give additional features. These upgrades can be added to weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools. They generally require that the equipment has an upgrade slot and meets certain requirements. The upgrade component can be removed from the weapon, armor or trinket, however it will not be replaced. (Except for legendary equipment). Upgrade components can be found using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool, or using a salvage tool of high-end quality on the item it self.
A weapon can also be upgraded to include a Calibration attribute that boosts certain stats, such as Weakspot damage or Crit Rate. This is accomplished through the Gear Workbench's interaction menu. This can be done four times depending on the weapon's level.
After the weapon has reached its maximum upgrade, it can then be reforged to add different bonuses and effects or improve specific stats. A variety of these upgrades can be used at once, and their effects are based on the rarity of the weapon.
There are two Blacksmiths in the game who can perform these upgrades: Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area and Smithing Master Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. Both require different upgrade materials: Smithing Stones for standard weapons, and Somber Smithing Stones for modifying the kind of damage that a weapon inflicts.
In general, it is recommended to increase the damage of your weapon first, then armour defense, then the other secondary stats that are required by your build. It is not uncommon to see melee Druids upgrade their weapons prior to upgrading other gear. This can help increase DPS. This is particularly applicable to enchantments, which can be extremely efficient in increasing the weapon's damage and other stats.
Armor
Item Upgrades let players enhance the performance of specific weapons, armors trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools. These upgrades can also give additional effects, such as an increase in damage or a cosmetic enhancement. Item Upgrades are available by crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors, through loot drops, or as quest rewards.
The quality of armor can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC, and spending the appropriate currency. In most cases, a piece of armor will be upgraded to the next tier once an upgrade is applied. Most armor types can be upgraded, however some items (such as the starter armour in Great Sky Island) cannot.

Certain upgrades grant special abilities that can be activated when wearing armor. These abilities can prove beneficial in combat. For example they can increase the speed of attack or block. Certain upgrades also have passive effects, for instance decreasing the amount of damage sustained when wearing armor, or giving you a a chance to dodge attacks.
Upgrades to armor can require several attempts, depending on the type of armor. If a player wishes to upgrade Steelclash armor into Dragonscale, then the first attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor that has an armor base defense of 59-67. The second attempt will result in the creation of a Dragonscale armor with an initial defense range of between 67 and 77.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lets players upgrade their armor sets to level 4. To do so players must visit each of the four locations known as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each of these locations is home to a powerful fairy who can upgrade one piece of armor for the player.
Contrary to what many believe armor isn't useless in The Division 2. Certain armors give a substantial increase in the ability to reduce the damage caused by poison or curse, magic or fire. This makes them very useful for certain types of builds. Additionally, there are ways to increase the stats of armor beyond the use of upgradeable armor, such as the engineer trait to increase armor penetration or the challenger trait to reduce total weight.
Potion
A potion can be upgraded by putting it in an brewing stand in order to unlock new effects. The upgrade opens a new level of potion effect and can be repeated to get more potency levels.
The potions also have a custom color, which can be set by the player using the /give. The color affects the clouds that affect the area of effect as well as the arrows generated. In Bedrock Edition the custom potion colour also applies to the particle effects of the potions.
The water bottle, mundane and thick potions and awkward potions now have a new brewing texture. The potion of weakness was added to the potion of healing in Creative inventory. Trinket

This bizarre trinket appears to be influencing the inhabitants of this maze which makes them more prevalent. At its current level the trinket makes all kinds of mimic Xx more prevalent and gives every floor a Y% chance of having an ebony mimic. Upgrades to this trinket require a small amount of energy.
The enchanted Scepter's magic appears to influence the dungeon by increasing the probability of generating grass and water. This trinket at the current level will cause X% of regular floors to be filled with water or grass. It does not affect glyphs, enchantments or cursed armor or weapons, or other items that are created to solve the dangers in rooms.
This item, which appears like eyes of a newt, seems to affect your vision in a manner that goes beyond just decreasing your field of view. At its current level this trinket increases the overall health benefits of drinking potions of healing, waterkins, and wells of health by X%. It also grants eyesight on enemies within the Y tiles. This does not stack with the Heightened Senses.
Skull Cavern is where you will find Trinkets after you have completed the Mastery Cave. You can find them after defeating Monsters and chests and crates. They cannot be found in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.
Place the trinket into the Anvil when it needs to be upgraded. This will cause an unpredictable effect on the trinket, either extending its lifespan or enhancing its effects. You can reorge an item multiple times as often as you like, but it will always have an impact that is different from the one that it had when you first made it.
You can also upgrade your Trinkets at the Alchemy Station by placing them into a Magical Catalyst. It will cost you 6 energy, however it will increase the power of the trinkets by a tiny amount.
