World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade

Recycled items don't keep their level or the amount of resources used to upgrade them.
The maximum level of upgrade for an item is determined by its tier and quality. Rare and Epic items are able to be upgraded to levels up to nine, whereas common items can only be upgraded to level six. The upgrades to items are added to the base stats of the item.
